First launched by Robert S. Sherwin, MD, the inaugural director of the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI), the Robert S. Sherwin YCCI All Scholar Day is a celebration of the center’s educational programs and the accomplishments of the trainees and scholars at all levels. This year’s event will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025.

Now in its twentieth year, the YCCI has supported more than 227 junior faculty members. Greater than 99% of YCCI scholars remain engaged in research continuing to successfully compete for independent grants (including 540 NIH grants) worth over $1.4 billion and publishing approximately 10,800 papers.

The successes of the program reflect Dr. Sherwin’s visionary leadership, tremendous dedication, and passion for training the next generation of clinical and translational researchers.
