Biography

I am a Swiss postgraduate associate in Grace Chen's Lab. When I was twelve my parents and I moved from Switzerland to the United Arab Emirates, where I finished my middle and high school. After graduating from the German Internation School in Dubai, I went to Carleton College to play varsity tennis and obtain my B.A. in Chemistry. There, I also worked in Professor Joe Chihade's lab which performs research on aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases. Specifically, I worked on trying to express these recombinant enzymes in E. coli in order to isolate them with the larger goal of finding drug targets for treating helminth infections.

Academically, I am interested in everything that broadens our appreciation of what it means to be alive on a molecular, physical, behavioral, or philosophical basis.
