Frequently Asked Questions

Participating schools will implement RULER and participate in data collection. Schools will be randomized to receive RULER immediately or on a two-year delay. Over two years,
- RULER schools will participate in data collection (3 survey time points for students and staff, collection of administrative data) and send a RULER implementation team to a summer or fall training to begin implementing RULER. Schools will receive monthly coaching, quarterly networking sessions, and $1,000 per year for participating.
- Control schools will participate in data collection (3 survey time points for students and staff, collection of administrative data) and receive $2,000 per year for participating. Following the two-year waiting period, they will receive the same RULER training and support package as above.
- How is our information protected?
The study’s data evaluators are researchers at the American Institutes for Research (AIR). Data collected through the study is protected by Yale’s and AIR’s institutional review boards (IRBs), and all data are securely collected and stored.
