Educational Technology & Innovation Medical Education Ideathon

We are excited to announce our new Yale School of Medicine (YSM) Educational Technology & Innovation group, whose goal is to serve as a strategic consulting partner, guiding the YSM community in leveraging advanced technology and data-driven insights to enhance undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education. The group collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to drive impactful change, supporting excellence in health professions education through expert consultation and innovative solutions.

Please join the team’s inaugural event: an Educational Technology & Innovation Ideathon, a collaborative opportunity to develop innovative teaching interventions leveraging technology. This half-day event, which will include brainstorming, prototyping, and collaboration with IT experts and fellow medical educators and learners, is for those passionate about transforming medical education through technology. 

This in-person event is designed to support creative projects by pairing innovative ideas with individuals who have expertise in medical education and technology. The goal is to assess the feasibility and relevance of these projects. Attendees will form small groups to concentrate on the presented ideas, develop conceptual models, and create rapid prototypes. These will then be shared with the entire group for peer feedback.
