About
Biography
Dr. Adam Schussheim is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and enjoys and is expert in the entire spectrum of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all such conditions like Coronary Artery Disease/Atherosclerosis, complex Hypertension and blood pressure issues, cholesterol and lipid management, valve disease, and Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathies. He has added board certifications in Hypertension from the American Hypertension Specialist Program, Lipid Disorders from the National Lipid Association and has additional expertise in cardiovascular imaging. He holds national certifications in Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and Cardiac CT. Dr. Schussheim is active academically as a member of Yale Medicine, Department of Cardiac Radiology and has authored multiple peer-reviewed research papers in diverse fields such as advanced cardiac imaging, hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure management, and lipid science. Dr. Schussheim has been a partner in Cardiac Specialists, a member of Northeast Medical Group since 2011, where he and his 20+ colleagues have been providing Cardiovascular Care to Fairfield County, CT for more than 30 years. He lives with his wife and family in Westport, CT and enjoys walking his dog, playing tennis, jogging, traveling, music and theater.
