Biography

Durga Sritharan is a graduate from Iowa State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. As an undergraduate student, she conducted Parkinson's disease research at Iowa State University and the University of Georgia, presented at the Iowa State and National Conference on Race and Ethnicity, and participated in the Summer Health Professions Education Program at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine.

Currently, as a Postgraduate Associate in the Aneja Lab, Durga plays an active role in research focused on applying machine learning techniques to diagnostic image analysis. Her research areas include image auto-segmentation, machine learning analysis of pathology images, and clinical oncology. Durga’s future career goals include blending her background in machine learning and healthcare as a physician-scientist.
