Biography
Kathryn Peterson, FNP-C is a highly skilled nurse practitioner with a focus on diabetes care. With ten years of diverse nursing experience, Kathryn has honed her expertise through a variety of clinical settings. She began her nursing career in Medical-Surgical Nursing, where she gained a strong foundation in patient assessment and care. Subsequently, she transitioned to Labor and Delivery Nursing at Yale New Haven Hospital, where she provided compassionate support to families during a significant life event.
Kathryn brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Diabetes Nurse Practitioner at the Yale Diabetes Center, having previously worked as an Endocrine Nurse Practitioner at Endocrine Associates of Connecticut. She is also a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), further enhancing her expertise in diabetes management. This exciting transition allows her to further specialize in diabetes care and contribute to the cutting-edge research and patient care initiatives at Yale. Kathryn is licensed as a Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner in Connecticut.
