Biography

Kyle Lyman is from Dayton, Ohio and completed his undergraduate degree in mathematics at the Ohio State University. After several summers working at the University of California, San Francisco, he pursued MD, PhD training in Chicago at Northwestern University. His doctoral thesis studied the role of hippocampal ion channels in the pathophysiology of Major Depressive Disorder, and after defending his dissertation he traveled to Nashville for a post-doctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University. He then returned to California for Neurology residency at Stanford University. After residency, he traveled to the east coast to complete a Neurocritical Care fellowship at Mass General Brigham.
