Biography
Matthew Kan is a board certified PA (NCCPA) with the division of General Surgery, Trauma and Surgical Critical Care.
After receiving his M.S. in PA Studies from Johnson & Wales University, he pursued post-graduate training at the Norwalk Hospital / Yale School of Medicine PA Surgical Residency Program and trained broadly in general, trauma, colorectal, bariatric, vascular, cardiothoracic, urologic, gynecologic, orthopedic, neurologic, and plastic surgery. He is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Academy of Surgical PAs.
Matthew is highly regarded by his peers for his clinical expertise and compassionate patient care. He has strong interests in the resuscitation of the critically ill, the use of point of care ultrasound in medicine, and medical education / preceptorship.
